He's gone vertical!

A lot of my friends keep asking for updates on my dad's progress since his accident in Dec.

Well, last week he had another post-op check up.

With xrays:

Yep...that there's my dad's leg.

He's always believed that "if you're going to do something, do it right and well the first time."

Apparently, leg breakage also falls into that category.  :)

Anyway, the Dr. was happy with his progress!

So, when we went to visit my parents on Easter Sunday, we found this:

Yes, my friends, he's gone vertical!!!

He's been given the green light to use crutches and go completely weight-bearing (progressively over the next few weeks) as tolerated.

Woohoo!  Go, big daddio!

I was just thinking about your dad this weekend and made a note to ask and you answered my question for me! Glad he's "up"!

Oh my! You're right, he sure doesn't do anything half way! So glad he's feeling better and up and around! I know that feeling of relief (Blake broke his leg a few months before his second birthday and ended up in a body cast).
