The One who has my back.

I'm not sure why I bother to worry.

It's not fruitful.

There are things I cannot control...and things I can.

I am a "do-er", so the things I can, I usually do something about.

Other things, I just usually actively worry.

I'm not sure why.

But, sometimes....

.....it's just wonderful.....

.....when God answers prayers:  spoken and unspoken.

Lately, He's been answering prayers left and right.

Even when I don't bring my petty little worries to Him,

He still answers them.

And in ways that I just can't consider a coincidence.

He's surrounded me during this season of pregnancy.

With a support system for rough times,

with prayers....countless prayers.

With dear friends to help us tear down the Love Shack so we could start on the new house.

With a Doctor next door who lends me her doppler-
no questions asked, so I could hear the baby's heartbeat.

One day I was thinking about how much baby stuff we had given away.
Including our rocking chair...and our low dresser that doubled as a changing table.

The next day, I get a call from my sister-in-law who offered me her glider rocker and short dresser.

God to Sandy:  I've got your back.

I was a tad wee little bit (ok a LOT) freaked out about having a girl....
...and the next week, I had a GREAT discussion with my small group moms which totally eased my mind.

God to Sandy:  I've got your back.

Then, I remembered that I broke a bracket on our crib when I dismantled it the last time.  Upon calling the manufacturer, I found out they refuse to sell it since it's a drop side crib (currently illegal).

The NEXT DAY, my neighbor calls and says she's out shopping for matching cribs for her twin daughters, and offered us her crib.  For free.

God to Sandy:  I've got your back.

Our car seat is expired, our gender neutral bedding has been donated, and most of our toys are thrown out.

God gave me Kathy who filled the back of my van this morning.
With all those things- and then some.

Yesterday, on the way to church, our van BUSTED.  BROKE.  NADA.
I was worried about the busiest week in summer - what the heck was I going to do?!?!?

When we got to church (in the RV), a friend offered us his van that they are trying to sell as means of transportation for the week.  I didn't have to cancel one thing!

God to Sandy:  I've got your back.

I realized that I have so much more that we need for the baby.

God provided some amazing friends who are hosting a shower to fill in the blanks.

God to Sandy:  I've got your back.

So, while I have worries....financial and physical, I'm just going to do what I can...

...and leave the rest to God.

After all, He's got my back.

Love this post! I never get tired of hearing how God is working in people's lives.

Please let me know if there's anything I can be praying about for you. xo

It's all about perspective. When we focus on God, we finally notice just how much He cares for us.
